Dear Mayfair friends and family,
Can you believe it is November? This school year has been going by so fast. October was filled with many things: community forums, festivals, open house, report cards, conferences, and much more. But we're not slowing down! We have a food drive, field trips, the book fair, a robotics competition, picture retakes, Thanksgiving break, and lots of other things!
One major event that is coming up that we would like to draw your attention to is the final EBR Community Forum being held at Lee Magnet High School on November 9th at 6:30 pm. This is the final meeting in the second phase of the District tax plan that addresses prioritizing projects to benefit from the potential one cent sale tax renewal. This particular community forum will be extremely important for the future of Mayfair as you would have the opportunity to rank our school as a top priority for getting a new school building. Please make every effort to attend this meeting and help get Mayfair to the top of the list!

The East Baton Rouge School System is currently in the process of planning for the next phase of development. Mayfair is on the list as possibly getting a brand new school building! We need your input at the final community forum on November 9 at Lee High, 6:30 pm. You will be randomly assigned to a table, where you and your new table friends will be tasked with ordering the 24 schools on the list for improvement from greatest need to least need. We've assembled a list of talking points for you to share with your tablemates when deciding which school to place first (hint: MAYFAIR!!). Please make every effort to attend!
October 30-December 5 is Magnet Application Period!

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR SIBLINGS OF CURRENT STUDENTS:
If you currently have students attending Mayfair but have other children you would like to attend Mayfair you will need to do an application for each student. This includes incoming Kindergarteners!
