Handy Dandy Device Troubleshooting

Mayfair Lab School

Did you know that the school Chromebooks and tablets receive updates and critical "repairs" overnight? The devices must be powered off each night in order for the updates to come through.

How to power off devices:

Chromebooks: Do not just close the Chromebook. Make sure you press and hold the power button until the screen turns white, then black.

Tablets: Press and hold the power button on the side until the screen turns off. You should also let them charge nightly. Updates are pushed out rapidly, and we want to make sure the devices are ready!

Please see the "Device Troubleshooting Guide" to help with most situations you may encounter while using a school device. This guide is attached to this post and can also be found under the Virtual Learning Tab on our main school website.
